Guiding Light

The title of this peice serves as a metaphor for both the lighthouse and the horizontal light in the sky. The Kilauea Lighthouse is no longer active, but I still wanted to indicate a strong light source close by. So, I placed the strongest most intense portion of sunlight directly above the lighthouse.

Description

Guiding Light – the title of this peice serves as a metaphor for both the lighthouse and the horizontal light in the sky. The Kilauea Lighthouse is no longer active, but I still wanted to indicate a strong light source close by. So, I placed the strongest most intense portion of sunlight directly above the lighthouse.

This seascape oil painting was painted on a 5×7 panel.
