Bodega Bay

As pretty as the Northern California coast can be, it can also be hauntingly beautiful. It’s no wonder Alfred Hitchcock picked Bodega Bay as the location to film one of the top thriller/horror films of all time, “The Birds.” With this in mind, I decided to paint this scene with a bit of mystery…the encroaching foreground shadow, along with the windblown surf and spray indicates a potential oncoming storm, or perhaps a large brood of attacking birds!
